Sport for the Physically Disabled

Review

Jan Kriel School is privileged to have some of the best sport facilities in the vicinity.  The continuous development and improvement of these facilities put more emphasis on sport.

The spiritual, academic and cultural activities, together with the exercising of sport, form the pillars of the foundation of our learners.  The sports field, in particular, is where a shattered self esteem can be restored and where the importance of sport can be established.  The development of character and social skills also receive the necessary attention there.

Sport for the Physically Disabled

We offer sport for the Physical Handicapped as an extention of therapy to either develop certain functions or to maintain them.

The following sport codes are offered:

  • Athletics (track- and field-events)
  • Cycling
  • Table tennis
  • Boccia

The occupational- and physiotherapists are responsible for the training of the learners.  They can be contacted if more information is required.
